Commonwealth Investment Network · Investment Readiness Programme
Investment Readiness for Climate-Positive Businesses and Projects
The Commonwealth Investment Network (CIN) supports climate-positive businesses and projects across Commonwealth countries to enhance their bankability, navigate the financing landscape and access capital.
The programme is open to those seeking all forms of funding, from grants and philanthropic capital through to concessional and blended finance, debt and equity.

Small Island Developing States
Small Island Developing States (SIDS) remain at the heart of the programme. Pacific and Caribbean small island businesses were the focus of the CIN’s first phase, so there is a clearer picture of their needs, and as the programme’s resources develop, support will be tailored through more specific guidance and case studies.
The CIN is also working closely with investment promotion agencies in these regions, including on capacity-building initiatives to strengthen their ability to deliver this support themselves.
How It Works
From Application to Readiness Roadmap
- 1
Apply
Complete the application directly, or through your national investment promotion agency. It takes about 20 minutes, and you can save your progress at any time.
- 2
Review
The CIN team reviews your application carefully.
- 3
Get your roadmap
Once accepted, you are invited to create your profile on the platform and receive your Readiness Roadmap.
- 4
Build readiness
Work through the tools and guidance your roadmap recommends, with mentorship and investor engagement where appropriate.
Before You Start
It will help to have your most recent revenue figures, or your project cost estimates, and an idea of your financing needs to hand. Approximate figures are fine. Please answer every question as accurately as you can, including where something isn’t yet in place.
Timing
Applications are rolling. The first set of applicants will be accepted in early November and will form part of the CIN’s spotlight at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Antigua and Barbuda, 1–4 November 2026.
From the First Cohort

“Working with the Commonwealth Investment Network has been a genuinely positive and transformative experience for Belmont Estate... connecting purpose-driven businesses like ours to partners committed to measurable, long-term impact.”
About the Programme
CIN is supported by the Commonwealth Secretariat and the UK Government and delivered by Financial Innovation for Impact (Fii) and the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance at Cambridge Judge Business School. The application, assessment and roadmap are delivered on the Earth Collective platform.
